We grade every pre-owned disc using our 0-5 Scaled Quality Value (SQV) system. A value of

• 5 means that the disc is "New" with the possibility of very light storage wear.
• 4.5 means the disc is "Like New" as it may have been thrown once or twice, but there is minimal signs of wear.
• 4, or "Excellent Condition", means the disc was field tested and may have a small scratch here and there.
• 3.5 represents "Great Condition", meaning the disc has a minor ding or scratch here and there.
• 3, or "Good Condition" means the disc has some smaller dings on multiple areas of the disc.
• 2.5, or "Ok Condition", means there is a couple bigger dings or significant scratches across the disc.
• 2, or "Subpar Condition, means there are many a few dings or big scratches all over the disc.
• A value of 1.5 or lower means the disc is in "Poor Condition". We try to minimize the amount of discs we are selling in this condition since they are likely warped or covered in dings, cuts, and/or discoloration.

On every pre-owned product page there will be a colored badge describing the SQV and condition of the disc. This is located both on the top right of each product photo and preview. Each badge is color coordinated, where

• Blue means "New" or "Like New Condition",
• Green means "Excellent" or "Great Condition"
• Yellow means "Good" or "Ok Condition"
• Orange means "Subpar" or "Poor Condition"

This depends on the condition (SQV) and plastic type of each disc. Discs that are lightly used will fly similar to new discs fresh off the rack, while discs that have been well used will have more understable flight characteristics. Premium plastics tend to hold onto their stability for longer compared to baseline plastic discs. Discs with noticeable flight changes will be graded lower and noted individually, so you choose a disc based on how "beat-in" you want it.

The main difference between a typical pre-owned disc and a pre-owned collectible is its rarity. Typically discs in our collectible section were made in limited quantities and/or are a popular run of disc.

For example the 2020 Discraft Tour Series Z Swirl Luna is highly sought after for it being a slightly more stable run. Thus, these will have more of a collectible value compared to a stock premium plastic Luna.
