In 2025, disc golf is a sport that is growing at a rapid pace. With more people getting involved, it is hard to determine which disc is right for you. Well as a disc golf store owner, one of my favorite things to do each month is see which are the best selling discs. I typically create monthly Youtube videos on the Disc Zone channel to share this information, but I figured I would make this blog to go over which discs are most popular this year. So far, 2025 has been an exciting season with plenty of new releases, special editions, and some classics, but here are the 8 discs that shine above the rest.
8. Axiom Discs Neutron Soft Proxy
The Proxy continues to be one of the best-selling putters on the market, and the Neutron Soft version has only made it more accessible. It has a slightly more stable flight compared to their Neutron plastic and is comfortable to use in colder conditions. 7. Discraft FuZed Scorch
The Scorch is a favorite distance driver for players who want long, controllable turnover shots. Paired with Discraft's new FuZed technology, this disc was an instant hit. FuZed technology is Discraft's newest concept that fuses their premium ESP plastic with Z plastic, giving the disc a cool, unique look. The FuZed plastic version has been a top seller this year, making it a great option for players looking for glidey distance without being overly demanding on power. 6. Axiom Discs Neutron Hex
Another MVP/Axiom disc makes the list. Since Simon Lizotte joined MVP Discs, the Hex has been one of, if not the most popular disc golf midrange in the world. Compared to the popular Discraft Buzzz it has more glide, adding around 10-30 feet of distance to your midrange game. 5. Innova Halo Star Destroyer
Some things never change: the Destroyer remains one of the most in-demand distance drivers in disc golf. Since its release, the Halo Star plastic continues to be the most popular, giving players extra stability and incredible durability. Advanced throwers love it for max distance. 4. MVP Discs James Conrad Proton Trail – 2025 Halloween Series
The MVP 2025 Halloween Edition discs have just hit our store in September 2025 and James Conrad Proton Trail is already one of the most popular. The Trail itself has been one of the most popular distance drivers since its release. Pair it with MVP's Proton plastic and a sick design and you get an absolute banger. The Buzzz is already one of the most iconic discs of all time, and the new FuZed BuzzzSaw has taken things to the next level. As mentioned earlier, the FuZed plastic has been somewhat revolutionary for Discraft. In this day and age it is hard to make disc technology that is either progressive and/or cooler than what is already available. The FuZed BuzzzSaw definitely fills that need. The Trail has been a hot disc since James Conrad first introduced it to his lineup, and the Neutron plastic version remains one of the most consistent sellers of 2025. This disc is claimed by many to fly farther than their 12 speed distance drivers. To me, it is truly amazing to see how many people love the Neutron Trail. People of all skill levels have raved about how this disc has changed their game.
